Garnet Captive

After outgrowing their initial brand identity, Garnet Captive Insurance Services contracted Chris de Heer Design to help them reposition their firm to leverage the opportunities brought on by rapid changes in the workers compensation and liability insurance markets.

Working with insurance agents and brokers to provide an alternative to expensive fixed-cost insurance for their clients, Garnet Captive was in a difficult position of seeking clients who might also perceive them as competition. To overcome that obstacle, we recommended being explicit in their positioning about their singular role as partners who can work with agents and brokers to offer better insurance options to their clients — "Your partner for innovative insurance solutions." Secondary messages included educating brokers about the features and benefits of captive insurance, as well as the emerging market trends that make captive insurance a particularly attractive option for many employers. We then made recommendations about streamlining the messaging for their Web site and collateral to emphasize these key messages.
