Most known for its anti-plagiarism service, Turnitin recently launched an expanded suite of tools that address many of today's educational challenges. Turnitin hired Chris de Heer to help develop a revised brand position that articulates its new, broader value, and to update its look to reflect its worldwide market leadership.

Through a series of working sessions with Turnitin's executive team, we developed a new statement that illuminates the underlying value of Turnitin's services:

“What if the Internet could help students take more responsibility for learning and let teachers focus on teaching? Now it can.”

This powerful statement articulates the problem in a way that resonates with Turnitin's target audiences — high school and university faculty and administration — while positioning Turnitin as the solution.
